Leyton’s Richard Whitehead ASA President

One of our officials, Richard Whitehead, became ASA Swim England President. He was elected at the weekend, for the next year, at an excellent dinner and disco (where some of us had a lot to drink, but there was no dancing on the tables)

Leyton Swimming Club been awarded Swim 21 accreditation!

Some good news just  in from London Swimming – we’ve been awarded Swim 21 status. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to achieve this and who came along to training meetings etc. We’re still waiting for our formal certificate to arrive in the post – more detail when it arrives.

Club child protection/safeguarding course

We are making progress towards our Swim 21 accreditation but are under some pressure, particularly from the management at Leytonstone Leisure Centre, to have this in place. Failure to achieve this will seriously jeopardise our being able to continue to use the pool at Leytonstone.
